Adult Blogger: TAYLORBOW.COM TAYLOR BOW was really good and was finally able to prove I'd had no previous knowledge. The IRS fined Sam and confiscated a large portion for back taxes. Part of what was left was paid out as restitution by a Federal Court. The same court was finally able to determine how much of the remainder had been accumulated during our marriage and awarded me half of it. Mr. English sued for the remainder as part of he and the tax lawyer's legal fees for services rendered. Samuel P. Sloan was now dead broke and headed for jail."
"Little Sis I never heard about a trial. Did he plead guilty for some reason?"
For the first Amy smiled. "Big Sis, the two lawyers had to explain it to me several times before I finally understood what happened."
" He was under indictment on a whole raft of violations of IRS Laws, Postal Regulations, and not a few other federal laws. They'd simply explained to him that he was going to be an old man before he got out of jail. The only question was how old. If he pleaded guilty his sentences for each and every count would be served concurrently with no time off for good behavior. If he fought the indictments and was found guilty his sentences would be served consecutively, again with no good time. For good measure several lawyers from the state attorney general's office had also turned up to point our that if he fought the indictments they had a few charges that they were going to throw into the hopper. Samuel P. Sloan, pleaded guilty on all counts. He is now in a federal prison, has been for a number of years, and will be for a goodly number more. It seems he tried some shenanigans in prison and got several more years added to his sentence."
